Harold John Menard

Breaux Bridge - A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Harold John Menard, 77, who passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am. Fr. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the Memorial service. Harold was retired from Breaux Masonry, where he worked for 29 years. He was the neighborhood handyman; fixing things and keeping lawns mowed. He enjoyed success with his annual vegetable garden and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Harold also enjoyed weekly visits with close friends and classmates. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Ann Caillier Menard; daughter, Kayla M. LeBlanc and husband, Quin; son, Kraig Menard, and wife Laura; three grandchildren, Blaise Nero, Austen Menard, and Avery Menard; two step grandchildren, Britt LeBlanc and Makala LeBlanc; a step great grandchild, Kensley Fitch; and his sister, Rose Savoy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Felicianne Champagne Menard; and four brothers, Wilton Menard, Francis Menard, Alton Menard, Sr., and George Menard, Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis TN 38101-0050. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
