Harold Picard

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Harold Picard, 89, who passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Sunday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Sunday. Chaplain Paul Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Picard was a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard, attaining the rank of Corporal. He loved tinkering with and working on cars, doing yardwork, and he especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Picard, Betty Mouton and husband Glenn, Patricia Treadway and husband Tony, Melissa Galloway and husband Danny, Diane Grucaz and husband Larry, Tina Gaspard and husband James, and Tammy Lopez and husband Jimmie; 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; brother, Joseph Picard; and sister, Josephine Capritto. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Esther Sonnier Picard; parents, Valerie and Lelia Latiolais Picard; sister, Madia Fail, Lilly Mae Capritto, and Sadia Milazzo; and brother, Patrick Picard. Pallbearers will be Tony Treadway, Jimmie Lopez, Larry Grucaz, James Gaspard, Danny Galloway, and Eric Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Lopez and Dillon Lopez.
