St. Martinville - A memorial service will be held at Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 for Harold Joseph Romero, Jr., who passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 61.

Mr. Romero was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on July 28, 1960 to the late Harold Joseph Romero, Sr. and Laquita Joy Smith Romero, and owned and operated Romero's Music for many years. Harold was a motor head, and especially when it came to old cars and motorcycles. An animal lover, Mr. Romero was a beautiful person all the way around. He had the gentlest soul, and never complained, even when his body was ridden with cancer. He also enjoyed fishing, but what he cherished most was time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Harold is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Romero (fiancée Haili) of St. Martinville; former wife, Stephanie Romero of New Iberia; two sons, Trey (wife Amie), and Dustin; three beautiful granddaughters, Lexie, Laina and Haley; two sisters, Susy and Teena; and his beloved dog, Bella .

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to a reception at Trinity Baptist Church in New Iberia at 12:00 pm on Saturday following the service.
