New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Harold Toups, 66, who died Thursday, November 15, 2007 in a Lafayette hospital.
Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will be officiating the service
Harold proudly served our country as a member of the US Army. He worked for Pelican Creamery for 9 years and retired from Frito Lay after 26 years of service. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting and having a good time.
Survivors include his wife Genevieve ""Noonie"" Rawlins Toups of New Iberia; daughter, Tracey Delahoussaye and husband Gregory of New Iberia; brother, Leroy Toups and wife Helen of New Iberia; sisters, Geraldine Sonnier and husband James of New Iberia, Judy Braquet of New Iberia; grandchildren, Tara Toups of Baldwin, Taylor Delahoussaye of New Iberia and great grandchild Talyn Babb of Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Toups and Effie Fitch Toups; sister, Jeanette Hall.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, November 16, 2007 from 2:30 PM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until 2:30 PM.
Pallbearers will be Gil Primeaux, Claude Simoneaud, Kevin Adams, Taylor Delahoussaye, Jeremy Valls and Mark Sonnier.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Gregory Delahoussaye, Ernie Valls, Johnny Bourque, Johnny David, Jerry Adams, Don Hollier, Kenny Lejeune and Keith Arceneaux.
