St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Harold Joseph Trosclair, Sr., 73, who passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at his residence in St. Martinville.
Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
Born on November 1, 1934, Harold lived all his life in St. Martinville. He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of the American Legion Post 133 in Breaux Bridge. He retired from Martin Mills in 1996 after 25 years. Harold was a parishioner of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. He enjoyed camping with The Cajun Caravan for over twenty years. He also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Peggy Comeaux Trosclair of St. Martinville; his four children, Kirk Trosclair and his companion, Darlene Authement of Chauvin, Kimberly Latiolais and her husband, Richard of Coteau, Marlene Perez and her husband, Marty of Lydia, Harold Tros Trosclair, Jr. and his wife, Sandy of St. Martinville, his nine grandchildren, Erick and Callie Trosclair of Scott, Ashley Molins and her husband, Derek of Mountain Home, ID, Kyle Latiolais and his fiance, Brooke Lemoine, Tyler Latiolais all of Coteau, Kacie and Koy Perez of Lydia, Kamy and Beau Trosclair of St. Martinville; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Maci Molins of Mountain Home, ID; his brother, James Trosclair of St. Martinville and his sister, Anna Jones and her husband, Wayne of St. Amant; his mother-in-law; Martha Comeaux, sister-in-law, Gail Beauchamp, one niece and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Sedonia Buford Trosclair; his father-in-law, Roy Comeaux and sister-in-law, Veva Trosclair.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
