Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Harris Cormier, 75, who passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Cormier was employed at Von's Bakery for 25 years. ?He served as a Boy Scout Leader and was also a Little League Baseball coach for many years. ?He enjoyed playing cards, going to the race track and visiting with friends. Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Cormier and his wife, Amy, of Elton, Jules Cormier and his wife, Vicki, of Breaux Bridge, and Kevin Cormier and his, Ladana, of Abbeville; one daughter, Lisa Cormier and her husband, Felix, of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Lawrence Cormier, of Breaux Bridge, and Alvin Cormier, of Lake Charles; five sisters, Agnes Auguillard, of Breaux Bridge, Elizabeth Auguillard, of Arnaudville, Clothilde Arceneaux, of Calif., Hilda Broussard, and Pricilla Boutte, both of Breaux Bridge; and five grandchildren, Desiree Cormier, Phylicia Cormier, Jasmine Cormier, Jazalyn Cormier, and Kevin J. Cormier, Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Audrey Arceneaux Cormier; his parents, Jules and Marie Breaux Cormier; and his brothers, Leroy, Alfred, Whitley, Julian, and Lezaire Cormier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Kevin Auguillard, Milton Auguillard, J.T. Auguillard, Ray St. Julien, Tony Boyd, and Kenneth Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Cormier, Jules Cormier, Kevin Cormier, Whitley Auguillard, Felix Carmouche, and Nolan Gobert. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
