Pierre was born on August 20, 1937, in Arnaudville. Harris spent over 30 years of his life navigating the waters and contributing his skills onboard dredging boats.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Harris was a man of diverse interests and passions. An avid LSU fan, he found joy in cheering for his favorite team and sharing in the excitement of each game. Wrestling held a special place in his heart, where he found entertainment and inspiration from the athleticism and storytelling within the sport. Western movies transported him to another time and place, where tales of cowboys and outlaws captured his imagination.
As an Atlanta Braves fan, Harris followed the team with fervor and took pleasure in every victory they secured. However, perhaps his greatest joy came from cooking for his family. Whether it was a hearty meal on a weeknight or a feast for a special occasion, Harris poured his love and care into every dish he prepared, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
