Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Harris Theriot, 76, who died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. The readers will be Adley Douet and Gwyn Theriot, gift bearers will be his daughters, Debbie Dupuis, Cathy Dor?, and Bessie Theriot and the altar servers will be Layne Theriot and Ashleigh Fruge. Mr. Theriot was self-employed as a painter. ??He enjoyed gardening, Cajun dancing, hunting, and sports, but what he loved most of all, was spending time with his family. ?As a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church, he served as an usher for more than 50 years and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife, Loula Huval Theriot of Breaux Bridge; one son, Gary Theriot and his wife, Gwyn of Henderson; four daughters, Debbie T. Dupuis and her husband, Ricky of Breaux Bridge, Cathy T. Dor? and her husband, Darren of St. Martinville, Bessie Theriot of Breaux Bridge and Bonnie Theriot of Iota; two brothers, Russell Theriot and Leroy Theriot, both of Breaux Bridge; six sisters, Suzanne T. Hebert of Lafayette, Yulenne T. Theriot of Catahoula, Mae T. Angelle of Port Arthur, TX, Anna Lou T. Bernard of Carencro, Barbara T. LeBlanc of Cecilia, and Judy Ann T. Douet of St. Martinville; four grandchildren and one step grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Emmeritte B. Theriot; his first wife, Annette G. Theriot; and two sisters, Anna Mae T. Angelle and Shirley T. Zeringue. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. on Friday and continue until time of service on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. Pallbearers will be Gary Theriot, Leroy Theriot, Russell Theriot, Bucky Guidry, Ricky Dupuis, and J. Roy Bernard. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Dupuis, Darren Dor?, and Tyler Dupuis. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
