Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at The Breaux Bridge Pentecostals for Harry d'Augereau, Jr., 76, who passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at his residence.
A visitation will take place at The Breaux Bridge Pentecostals on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm. It will continue on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
Pastor Jonathan Haygood will officiate at the Funeral Service. Burial will follow at d'Augereau Family Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Harry was born on April 27, 1948, in Breaux Bridge. He was raised on a dairy farm and from a young age farming became a passion for him. He continued to work as a hay and cattle farmer for the rest of his life. In addition to farming, he worked at Cajun Well Service for 24 years as a hot oil helper. Harry was a man of great faith and devotion to God; he loved his church family and enjoyed being a part of the choir. He was a family man that cherished his time spent with his loved ones, especially when he was cooking for them or playing card and board games. Harry also found great joy in gardening, canning and fishing; and he loved spending time outdoors.
Harry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janice Francois d'Augereau; sons, Craig d'Augereau, Brandon Shearin (Rebekah), and Matthew d'Augereau; brothers, Milton d'Augereau (Anita), Allen d'Augereau (Cindy), and Marlin d'Augereau (Debbie); sister, Verna Pitre; and his grandchildren, Presley Shearin, Addalyn Shearin, and Caleb Shearin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry d'Augereau, Sr. and Doris LaCombe d'Augereau; and his brother, Percy "Tee" d'Augereau.
Pallbearers will be Craig d'Augereau, Brandon Shearin, Matthew d'Augereau, Milton d'Augereau, Allen d'Augereau, and Marlin d'Augereau.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Green and Alton Perry.
