Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Harry Hollier, 84, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas.
Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia.
Mr. Hollier was a parishioner and devoted usher at St. Charles Catholic Church in Grand Coteau for 43 years.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Z. Hollier of Sunset; two sons, Lee Hollier and his wife, Evelyn Venable, of Lafayette and Ralph J. Hollier and his wife, Verna, of Burbank, CA; three daughters, Kathleen H. Patin, of Lafayette, Ann H. Muller and her husband, Rick, of Seattle, WA, and Harriet H. Palombo and her husband, Michael, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Bradley Hollier, of Opelousas and Steve Hollier and his wife, Priscilla, of Rayne; three sisters, Nolie Duplechin and her husband, Freddie, of Arnaudville, Paola Angelle, of Cecilia, and Sybil Stelly and her husband, Ollen, of Sunset; six grandchildren, David, Christopher, and Jacquleyn Hollier, of CA, Ryan Patin of Lafayette, Brittany Palombo, and Brock Palombo, both of Baton Rouge; and two great grandchildren, Alia and Ryli Patin, of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angela and Olide Hollier, Sr.; three brothers; two sisters; and one son-in-law, P.J. Patin.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Drs. Randy Daigle, Thad Bourque, and James Cole, and their staff, and to Doctor's Hospital for the wonderful care they provided.
Memorial donations, in his name, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
