VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Harry B.B. Thibodeaux, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Rev. Stephen Ugwu will conduct the service. B.B. was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion - Post 0289 for 19 years and a member of the Sheriff Association. He was the owner of Catin's Grocery and Hardware Store located in Parks, which was family owned and established in 1944. He was employed for 34 years with Southern Pacific Railroad Company. B.B. loved animals and seemed to have a way to connect to them through nature. His dog Madame Joli Thibodeaux was his treasured pet. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and overseeing his crawfish ponds. Survivors include his son, Terry James Thibodeaux of Parks; his daughters, Brenda T. Verret and her husband, Patrick Neal Verret, Jeannette T. Aguirre and her husband, Arnulfo Aguirre and Belinda T. Bienvenu all of Parks; the mother of his children Hazel Angelle Lavergne of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Shawn and Shane Verret; Trent, Keisha, Tyler and Deidra Thibodeaux; Travis Thibodeaux and Cory Miller; Brad and Bryan Bienvenu; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Widmare and Cecile Thibodeaux; and his brother, Wallace S. Thibodeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
