New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Hazel A. LeBlanc, 87, who died Sunday, January 27, 2013, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Deacon Jay Bergeron will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Monday. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Born on October 22, 1925 in New Iberia, Mrs. LeBlanc worked for the Iberia Parish Clerk of Court, and for Laperouse Abstract Company. ; She loved crocheting, camping at Toledo Bend, but most of all spending time with her family and friends, especially her six granddaughters and seven great grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Ricky LeBlanc and wife Bonnie Broussard LeBlanc of New Iberia, Rene LeBlanc and wife Scarlet Musso LeBlanc of Katy, Texas; brothers, Minus Arcement of Lafayette, Harry Arcement of New Iberia, Robert 'Bobby' Arcement of New Iberia; sisters, Gloria Vincent of Lafayette, Doris Campbell of Delcambre; six granddaughters, Stacey LeBlanc Dempsey and husband Jonathan, Lori Jefferson Travis and husband Jonathan, Trisha Jefferson Tatman and husband Chuck, Cimi LeBlanc and fianc Justin Theriot, Ashley LeBlanc, Rebecca LeBlanc; seven great grandchildren; former son-in-law, Charles Jefferson and wife Carmen of Loreauville. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles 'Raymond' LeBlanc; parents, Joseph and Camilla Thibodeaux Arcement; daughter, Susan LeBlanc Jefferson; brothers, Edward Arcement, Russell Arcement; sister, JoAnn Rivette. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Dempsey, Jonathan Travis, Chuck Tatman, Justin Theriot, Charles Jefferson, and Dustin Daigle. Mrs. LeBlancs family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Gail Chastant, April Guidry, Mattie Manuel, Verna Lewis, and Acadian Home Care for their extraordinary care and compassion.
