Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge, for Hazel Mae Badeaux Melancon, 73, who passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Melancon was a member of First Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge. She worked as the Central Supply Supervisor at Gary Memorial Hospital for 24 years until her retirement, which she fully enjoyed. Survivors include her sons, Terry Melancon and his wife, Liz, of Breaux Bridge, and Robbie Melancon and his wife, Liz, of Cypress Island; her daughter, Natalie Taylor and her husband, Sidney, Jr., of Maryville, TN; her sisters, Annette LeBlanc and Jeannette Trosclair and her husband, Jessie, all of Breaux Bridge; her sister-in-law, Lucille Badeaux, of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Ryker Melancon and his wife, Megan, Mia Boudreaux and her husband, Ryan, Cade Taylor and his wife, Fara, Raven Taylor and Jaron Taylor; step grandchildren, Brandi, Chelsea and Clint LeBlanc, and Kristen Champagne; step great-grandchildren, Rylin Boudreaux and Raydence LeBlanc, and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Melancon; her parents, Alley and Martha Thibodeaux Badeaux; her brothers, Clayton and Harold Badeaux; and her sister, May Evelyn Patin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
