Hazel Lopez Pattillo

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2015, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Hazel Lopez Pattillo, 86, who passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church on Friday from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM. Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Pattillo was born on March 23, 1929 to Charles and Sylvanie Romero Lopez. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, having fun, and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Julie Pattillo Copeland and husband Robby of New Iberia, Ginger Pattillo Williams of New Iberia, Wes Pattillo and wife Vicki of New Iberia, Jeff Pattillo and wife Claudette of Loreauville, and Mark Pattillo and wife Tanya of New Iberia; 18 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 49 years, Wesley Bryant Pattillo; son, Bryant Wayne Pattillo; daughters, Kristie A. Pattillo, and Trina Angela Hebert; sons-in-law, Kenneth Williams, and Shawn Reid Hebert; sisters, Esther Lopez Broussard, Irene Lopez Trim, Velta Lopez Breaux, and Joyce Lopez Talbot. Pallbearers will be Cody Pattillo, Heath Pattillo, Seth Pattillo, Caleb Copeland, Ethan Copeland, and Blade Broussard. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and residents of Belle Teche Nursing Home for their extraordinary care and compassion.
