Hazel Robertson

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Hazel Robertson, 81, who passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Camelot of Broussard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the church from 7:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Wednesday. Rev. Michael Sucharski SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. Hazel was born on December 7, 1935. She was a loving wife, sister, and friend. Hazel was a homemaker for the Landry's for over 60 years. Hazel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the Oncology Staff at UMC Medical Center, Camelot of Broussard, and Compassus Hospice Palliative Care. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Victoria Mallery Green of Broussard, La; brother, Lawrence Mallery and spouse Dorothy of Inglewood, Ca; niece, Elizabeth Smith and spouse Michael of Broussard, La; best friend, Gayle Landry and her son Blake; step-daughter, Mary Taylor Washington of St. Martinville, La; step-grandchildren, Duvvie Simon and Douglas Simon, both of St. Martinville; and a host of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lazaire Robertson; her mother, Constance Bonhomme Mallery; and step daughter, Haroline Simon. Pallbearers will be Trumon Greene, Trevis Greene, Tristan Greene, Blake Landry, and Rounsey Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Mallery and Michael Smith.
