Rynella - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella for Helen Landry Aucoin, 66, who died Monday, August 5, 2013, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in the Broussard Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Tremie will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Wednesday. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. A native of Bayou Lourse, Mrs. Aucoin was born on May 20, 1947, and was a 1965 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Morgan City. She was a resident of New Iberia and retired from Global Industries after 20 years of service. Her hobbies were cooking for her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a very dedicated, compassionate, and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Joseph Aucoin of New Iberia; daughters, Alicia Aucoin McDonough and husband Darren of Hahnville, Kyla Aucoin Neuville and husband Kelly of Loreauville; grandsons, Logan and Peyton McDonough and Cade Neuville; her mother, Elise Rentrop Landry of Bayou Lourse; brothers, Craig Landry of Youngsville, Brent Landry and wife Cathy of Labadieville; sisters, Bonnie Mashburn and husband Don of Lafayette, Patricia Foreman of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her father World War II veteran, Lloyd Landry; and her brother, Rodney Landry. Pallbearers include Darren McDonough, Kelly Neuville, Logan McDonough, Peyton McDonough, Cade Neuville, Brent Landry, Craig Landry, and Errol Neuville. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Aucoin.
