Helen Albert Bienvenu

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Helen Bienvenu, 78, who passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 12 noon. Rev. Austin Leger will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Helen was a member of Merry Mary Rosary Makers for many years. She enjoyed dancing at Randall's, cooking, baking, making Mardi Gras costumes with Hope Dugas, and visiting with family and friends. . She is survived by her daughters, Annette Bryan of St. Martinville and Ellen Taylor and husband Brian of Arnaudville; son, Alton Gallet of MS; grandchildren, Lynette Thibodeaux, Patrick Thibodeaux, Gabrielle "Gabby" Taylor, Faith Taylor, and Jessy Taylor; great grandchildren, Christopher Thibodeaux, Lyric Thibodeaux, and Judea Mitchell; sisters, Irene "Ben" Theriot of Parks, Sidney "Mae Mae" Mae Louviere of Breaux Bridge, Clara "Tut" Ann Wiltz and husband Stanley of St. Martinville, and Livia "YaYa" Olivier of Catahoula; brothers, Wilbert "Naneg" Albert and wife Betty of Coteau Holmes, Berton "Bert" Albert and companion, Judy of St. Martinville, Clesmae "Cam" Albert and wife Laura of St. Martinville, and Roland Albert and wife Janine of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Roscoe" Bienvenu; son, Arthur Gallet; parents, Moise and Gertrude Blanchard Albert; sisters, Florence "Tit" Hebert and Lorraine Louviere; brothers, Ambroise Albert, Russell "Boy" Albert, Moise Albert , Jr.; and stepmother, Amynthe Albert. Pallbearers will be Roland Albert, Jacob Albert, Errol Albert, Cody Albert, Randall "Salt" Olivier, and Chad Albert. Honorary pallbearer will be Walt Phillips.
