Arnaudville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., on Satuday, August 13, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Helen Breaux Kidder Dugas, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Fr. Keenan Brown will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Mel Guidry and Laura Miller. Gift Bearers will be her great granddaughters. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Survivors include her daughters, Mavis Miller of Lafayette, and Annette Guidry of Arnaudville; her step daughter, Carmen; her sisters, Juanita Standley of Texas, and Elsie Domingue of Lafayette; her brothers, Curley, Melvin, and Calvin Breaux, all of Texas; 6 grandchildren, Ken Miller and his wife, Laura, Kerry Miller and his wife, Gwen, Troy A. Guidry and his wife, Mel, Blake Guidry and his wife, Nicole; Ron Kidder and his wife, Anne, and Sean Kidder and his wife, Colette; 1 step grandson, Michael DuBois and his wife, Colette; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna Dieu and Elada Stoute Breaux; 1st husband, Harold Kidder, Sr.; her 2nd husband, Ovide Dugas; her son, Harold Kidder, Jr.; her sisters, Anne Lajaunie and Alta Broussard; her brother, Earl Breaux; and two sons-in-law, Lee Miller and Larry Guidry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Ken Miller, Kerry Miller, Troy Guidry, Blake Guidry, Ron Kidder, and Sean Kidder. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael DuBois, Blaise Guidry, Garrett Guidry, Ethan Guidry, Dex Miller, Bennett Miller, Brock Miller, Caleb Kidder, and Braeden Kidder.
