Helen was born on October 24, 1930, in Saint Martinville. Helen was a simple woman with a heart full of love and a spirit that embodied the essence of home.

In a world that often rushed by, Helen found beauty in the little things. She was a devoted homebody, immersing herself in her own tranquil environment. Her days were often spent tending to her yard, where she found peace among the flowers and trees. Helen delighted in picking pecans, nurturing her garden, and keeping things in order, not just in her home, but in the hearts of her loved ones as well. Her simple approach to life brought a sense of peace to those fortunate enough to know her.

Helen was also a loving grandmother who took immense joy in caring for her grandchildren. Those moments spent together were filled with laughter, storytelling, and an abundance of love. She had a unique way of making every visit special, infusing warmth into every embrace and memory.

Though she often kept to herself, her quiet strength and tender spirit resonated deeply with family and friends. Helen exemplified the beauty of a life lived simply, yet profoundly, reminding us all of the importance of cherished moments and the love shared within family bonds.

She is survived by her sons, Donald LeGrand and Dale LeGrand (Michelle); daughter, Denice Miiler (Johnny); brothers, Greg Latiolais and Raymond Latiolais; sister, Georgina LeBlanc; grandchildren, Chase LeGrand (Tiffanie), Trent LeGrand (Bliss), Courtney Miller, Trevor LeGrand (Caitlin) and Cody Miller; and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew LeGrand; parents, Phermaine and Germaine Latiolais; brothers, Allen Latiolais, Chris Latiolais and Antoine Latiolais; and her sisters, Elise Boudreaux, Susie Latiolais and Margie Duplantis.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Agnes Nusring Home for the patience and care while she was in their care.
