Helen Robicheaux

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2006, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Helen ""Blue"" Barras Robicheaux, 68, who died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at her residence. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Helen loved crawfishing with her husband and placing others first in her life. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Robicheaux; her daughters, Malinda R. Latiolais and her husband, Armand Berard, Kathleen R. Savoy and her husband, David, Christine R. Vicknair, Nannette Robicheaux, and Patricia R. Lasseigne and her husband Clayton, all of Catahoula; her brothers, Edward Barras of Butte LaRose, Louis Barras, Michael Barras, and Mervin Barras, all of Catahoula; her sisters, Mary Ann B. Thomas of St. Martinville and Annabelle B. Menard of Butte LaRose; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Angelle Latiolais Barras; and her brother, Harris Barras. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and continue until time of service on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Chance Latiolais, Christopher Robicheaux, Coby Savoy, Jake Savoy, John Vicknair, and Craig Vicknair. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Lasseigne and Thad Savoy.
