Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at First United Pentecostal Church in Breaux Bridge for Helen Thibodeaux, 83, who passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at First United Pentecostal Church (3454 Main Hwy., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517) from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 10:45 am. Rev. Jonathan Haygood and Rev. L.F. Long will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery in Carencro. Helen was born October 29, 1937. She and her husband, Garland, owned many businesses throughout the years together. One business being a convenience store, G & H Grocery. Helen enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, and traveling. She loved her family and cherished her time spent with them. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her two sons, Donald Ray Thibodeaux (Dolores Toby) of Cecilia and James Muray Thibodeaux of Lafayette; brother, Joseph "U.L" Thibodeaux of Eunice; four grandchildren, S. Gwinn (Brandon) North of Atlanta, GA, James "Bubba" K. Thibodeaux of Panama City, FL, Nicholas Justin Thibodeaux of Cecilia, and Ashley (Brandon) d'Augereau of Breaux Bridge; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Nathaniel and Gentry d'Augereau, Behr, Beaux, and Briggs North, Cora and Eva Thibodeaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Joseph Thibodeaux; parents, Ivy and Elena Jagneaux Thibodeaux; and her mother-in-law, Lela Godfrey. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Justin Thibodeaux, Bubba Brasseaux, Alton Perry, and Lonnie Zeno. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Ray Thibodeaux, James Muray Thibodeaux, Junior Thibodeaux, and Joseph "U.L" Thibodeaux. Judy Green with Judy’s Flower Basket, a longtime friend of Helen and her family, will be providing floral arrangements for her services. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
