Henry Lee Harris

Cecilia - A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia for Henry Lee Harris, 75, who passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020. Rev. Ugochukwu Jerome Cletus SSJ will officiate at the Graveside Service. Henry proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army for 8 years and in the United States Navy for 4 years. He was a member of the VFW. He was considered to be a "Jack-of-all-trades" – he enjoyed doing carpentry work for himself and others and he also did some plumbing if anyone needed. As a pastime, he enjoyed fishing. Henry will be fondly remembered for service and dedication to his country and to his community. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Roy Harris; son, Henry Harris, Jr.; daughter, Detra L. Harris; sisters, Marie Hearld, Lutichia Prince, and Vicky Davis; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Le'Shunda Harris; stepson, Maximillian Johnson; parents, Willie and Beatrice Haywood Harris; brothers, Clarence Harris, Sr. and Robert Haywood; and his sister, Gwendolyn Harris.
