Hilda Ann Credeur

Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Hilda Ann Credeur, who passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Carpenter House in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Monday by Wildie Roberts. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Pam Fruge, Joshua Credeur and Aryonna Trahan will read Holy Scripture, and her children will be gift bearers. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Hilda always had a bowl of candy available for the grandchildren when they came to visit. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, going on outings with her family, shopping at Walmart, fishing, running the roads and playing on her I-pad. She never met a stranger who didn't become her friend. She will be remembered for kindness and her out spoken personality. Hilda will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving spouse of 52 years, Antoine J.N. Credeur, Sr.; sons, Jason John Credeur and wife Cheryl Ann of Arnaudville, and Antoine J.N. Credeur, Jr. and wife Marsha of Arnaudville; daughter, Darlene C. Trahan and husband Alvin Ray of Arnaudville; brother, Wilton Joseph "Boy" Degeyter and wife Dolores of Cecilia; sister, Thelma Mary D. Revette of Breaux Bridge; 8 grandchildren; Joshua Credeur, Jerad Credeur, April Blood, Amber Credeur, Braylon Credeur, Brittany Credeur, Destiny Trahan and Aryonna Trahan, 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Degeyter; mother, Genieve Taylor Degeyter; sister, Gloria May D. Guidry. Pallbearers will be Jason John Credeur, Antoine J.N. Credeur, Jr., Joshua Credeur, Jerad Credeur, Braylon Credeur and Alvin Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilton Joseph "Boy" Degeyter, Chancey Bernard, Joseph Trahan and Craig Guidry.
