Hilda Solomon

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Hilda Ledet Solomon, 87, who passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Readers will be Roxanne Howard and Kim Vavasseur. Hilda enjoyed playing bingo with friends, cooking at her work place, home and wherever needed. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always brought a ray of sunshine into everyones lives. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Berthman Solomon of Breaux Bridge, and Marshall Solomon and his wife, Marie Serina of Cecilia; her daughter, Lucy M. Solomon of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Vivian Washington of Breaux Bridge; her 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelle Solomon; her parents, Alfred and Cecilia Zenon Ledet; her son, Edward James Solomon; her daughter, Renella Marie Solomon; her brothers, Percy Ledet and Murphy Ledet and her sisters, Rose Elow and Bertha Joseph. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 6:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Chris Boutte, Leroy Washington, Crandall Solomon, Walter Lewis, Eric LaGrange and Daniel Solomon. Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Solomon, Marshall Solomon, Berthman Solomon, Jimmy Francis, Clyde Ledet, A. J. Noel, Rich Mouton and Brian Solomon. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
