New Iberia Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Holly Nicole Bailey, 32, who passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, in Baton Rouge. Interment will follow at St. Marcellus Catholic Cemetery in Rynella. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A native of New Iberia, Holly was born on September 4, 1984, and was a 2003 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. An avid reader, she worked as a hair stylist, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Holly was a goodhearted person who loved people and was always willing to help others. Survivors include her parents, Tony and Tammy Smith Bailey, Jr. of Lafayette; sisters, Brittany Bailey and her boyfriend Sam Claitor of Baton Rouge, Sydney Bailey of Lafayette; brother, Tony Bailey, III and his girlfriend Meaghan Gravelle of Lafayette; grandparents, Joseph Harold and Dianna Lynn Derouen Smith of New Iberia; godmother, Lisa and uncle Galand Cook of St. Martinville; and a niece, Caroline, due to arrive in August. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Tony Joseph Bailey, Sr. and a grandmother, Mary Lancon. Pallbearers will be Tony Bailey, III, Colby Cook, Justin Gaudin, Sam Claitor, Steven Lavergne, and Aldo Romero.
