Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at ?2:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, in Breaux Bridge for Horace Joseph Boutin, Sr., 87, who died on Friday, July 13, 2007 at South Park Community Hospital in Youngsville.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. Boutin worked for Gordy Salt Co. for 29 years. He enjoyed farming, working outdoors, dancing and spending time with his family. He was active in the Construction Camps in Three Rivers, California and Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors include his sons, Wilton Joseph Boutin of Lafayette, Horace Joseph Boutin, Jr., of Breaux Bridge, and Randall James Boutin and his wife, Gail Dore Boutin, of New Iberia; his daughters, Blanche Boutin Babineaux and her husband, Bobby J., of Lafayette, Eve LaFleur and her husband, Leroy, of Lafayette, Mahelia ""Tina"" Hardy, of Breaux Bridge, and Tammy Sue Landry and her husband, Larry, of Breaux Bridge; eight ?grandchildren, Bryan F. Babineaux, Nicole M. Buller, Sonya Leigh Barbier-Parrish, Dana Aucoin, Kevin Boutin, Bethany C. Morvant, Kaymie M. Landry, and Randall James Boutin, II; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Theriot Boutin; his parents Eugene and Therese Guidry Boutin; his brothers, Clayborne, Ernest, and Anthony Boutin; and his sisters, Enola Guidry, Isabelle Matthews, and Lena Kennerson.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
