Horace James Peltier

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, for Horace James Peltier, 65, who passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rev. Garrett Savoie will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Friday, from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.

A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Thursday.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Peltier was born on January 1, 1958, to the late Otto and Lula LeBoeauf Peltier. He worked in the automobile paint and body repair industry for over 30 years. Mr. Peltier enjoyed martial arts and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Nick Peltier (Kelli) and Priscilla Peltier; grandchildren, Cimi Peltier and Ollie Peltier; and siblings, Forest Peltier (Sue), Mary Peltier Dorsey (Eddie), Thelma Peltier Lopez, Sally Peltier Primeaux, and Margie Peltier Blankenship.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Percy Peltier and Fred Peltier; and a sister, Linda Peltier Manuel.
