Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, March 15, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Howard Toto Robin, 84, who passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Father Gary Schexnayder will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Darrell Serrette, Carolyn Serrette and Zaylie Serrette. Mr. Robin, better known to his family and friends, as Toto, was retired as a leverman with Judice Sand Company. He loved his job and the people he worked with. His co-workers, who have been life-long friends, have never forgotten him since his retirement. Toto loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who adored him. Survivors include his son, Roland Robin and his wife, Penny; his daughter, Carolyn Serrette and her husband, Darrell, all of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Darrell Lil D Serrette, II, and his companion, Kandi Huval, Heidi Robin Delcambre and her husband, Shane, and Geary Robin; and his great grandchild, Zaylie Elizabeth Serrette; and two sisters, Angela Taylor and Bunice Bune Taylor, both of Arnaudville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Guidry Robin; his parents, Paul and Lillian Olivier Robin; three brothers, Russell, Lester, and Harry Robin; and two sisters, Priscilla Courville and Earline Marie Robin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be Floyd Meche, Shane Delcambre, Geary Robin, Darrell Lil D Serrette, Dale Taylor, and Nolan Robin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
