Hunter John Broussard

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Hunter John Broussard, 18, who passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 2 pm. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Ken Soignier at 7:00 pm on Friday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Hunter was in the 12th grade working on getting his diploma this year. He was a cadet with the Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge Program. Hunter enjoyed many things like skateboarding, boxing, working out, sleeping, and was very interested in astronomy. His family and friends will miss him greatly. He is survived by his mother, Amanda Broussard; father, Steven Richard; sister, Stephanie Richard; brothers, Steven Richard, Jr., Sidney Richard, and Joshua Richard; godfather, Shane Broussard; maternal grandmother, Barbara Courville; his girlfriend, Morgan Elizabeth Wallace; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friends, Lindsay Mouton and Shawn McGaha. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Irving Broussard, Jr.; great grandparents, Irving and Frances LeBlanc Broussard, Sr.; and great grandmother, Theresa Knott. Pallbearers will be Steven Richard Jr., Sidney Richard, Shawn McGaha, Mike Boudoin, Derek Dautreuil, and Trent Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be Olivia Broussard and Wyatt Dautreuil.
