Ida Breaux Broussard

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ida Breaux Broussard, 90, who died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Don Leger, pastor of St. Bernard Church will conduct the services. Mrs. Broussard was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and picking pecans. She was known as a hard worker. Survivors include her daughter, Renella Guthrie of Port Neches, TX; her son-in-law, Clifford Guidry of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Hilda Breaux of Breaux Bridge and Susanne Huval of Henderson; her grandchildren, Duane Guidry of Breaux Bridge, Shauntel Blanchard and her husband, Joshua, of Breaux Bridge and Darrell Guthrie and his wife, Michelle, of Port Neches, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Eric Guidry, Chris Guthrie, Amber Guthrie and Megan Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larkin Broussard; her parents, Albert and Annaise Penn Breaux; her daughter, Barbara Gaile Guidry; her brothers, Alton and Ignace Breaux; and her sisters, Martha Stoute, Elvina Guidry, Edmae Belaire, Alzi Trahan, Elenor Dore and Eurine Breaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:00 am Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
