Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Ida Marks Taylor, 84, who passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery, in Arnaudville. Father Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be her grandchildren, Morgan Angelle and Joby Marks. Ida enjoyed watching soap operas, going out to lunch, quilting, shopping, and playing Bingo. She lived her life for her family, who she loved unconditionally. Ida always looked forward to having family gatherings for many occasions - it brought all of her family together and that's what she loved and cherished most. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include three sons, Louis Taylor and his wife, Colleen, of Arnaudville, Teddy Taylor, of Crowley, and Eve Taylor, Jr., of Lafayette; six daughters, Merline Belaire and her husband, Earles, of Breaux Bridge, Anna Thibodeaux and her husband, Jervis, of Cecilia, Margie Nell Serrette and her husband, Marvin, of Henderson, Melinda Taylor, Jodie Taylor, and Tessie Taylor, all of Arnaudville; four sisters, Gladys Marks, of St. Martinville, Georgie Quebedeaux, of Westwego, Lillia Barras, of Arnaudville, and Lillian Taylor, of Mansura; 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eve Taylor, Sr.; her parents, Alcee and Evella LaGrange Marks; three brothers, Batmost, Eve, and Lee Roy Marks; and four sisters, Merline Marks, Claudie Stelly, Alma Hebert, and Shirley Bernard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited by Beatrice Zerangue and Leatrice Meche at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Jervis Thibodeaux, Earles Belaire, Kenny Quebedeaux, Louis Taylor, Eve Taylor, Jr., and Ted Taylor. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home, especially her "Angels in Blue," the aides, and to Drs. Kirk Elliott and Paul Rees, for their constant care and attention given to her. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
