Indiana Ledet

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Indiana Ledet, 94, who passed away on May 23, 2023 at her residence. 

 A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:15 AM. 

 A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 AM on Saturday.

Father Joe Campion will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Lisa Alexander. 

 Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1. 

 Indiana was born on February 3, 1929 in Parks. Indiana was an exceptional woman with many hobbies and interests. She had a passion for western movies and shows and loved nothing more than to indulge in her homemade fried chicken. She was also known for the care she gave to her family and friends. Her kind heart made everyone feel welcome and loved.

Indiana was a devout Catholic who attended church regularly. She lived by the principles she learned there and always strove to make the world a better place. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.

 She is survived by her sisters, Prenella Francis and Rose Ledet; host of half brothers; numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, and great-great grand nieces and nephews. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Martha Ledet; sister, Mary Alice Ledet; brothers, Rane Ledet, Joseph Ledet, Guilbert Ledet, Alton Ledet and Alfred Ledet. 

 Pallbearers will be Donald Ledet, Lionel Ledet, Michael Shy, Tyler Shy, Derrick Celestine, and Patrick Celestine, Jr. 

 Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Clayton, Sterling Solomon, Jeremiah Woods, Da'Traylon Woods, Martel Dalcourt, and Junius Lee Ledet.
