New Iberia - Memorial services will be at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Ira Mo Morvant, Sr. 67, who passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in New Iberia.
Born on June 10, 1942, Mo was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia. He worked for Trappey's Foods for 38 years, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include sons; Ira Popa J. Morvant, Jr. and wife Sandra, Matthew Morvant and companion Jennie Darby all of Franklin; step sons, John Romero and wife Ann of New Iberia, Marty Romero and wife Ella of Patterson; brothers, Edward Junius Morvant and wife Georgia, Wallace Morvant all of New Iberia; sisters, Verona Morrison of Caldwell, TX; Jenores Lohr and Connie Morvant both of New Iberia; 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Annie Theriot Morvant; sons,Michael and Charles Morvant; brothers, Travis and Cassel Morvant; step brother, L.J. Morvant; sister, Nadine Hebert.
The family would like to give special thanks to Mo's caregiver, Cori Bowman.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
