VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Ira Prince, 84, who passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 in New Iberia. Born on December 21, 1924, Mr. Prince worked for the Morton Salt Mines for 18 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running his dogs. Survivors include his wife Audrey Prince of New Iberia; son, Dean Prince of Lydia; daughter, Jeannie Hercher of Mansfield, Missouri; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Blanche Prince; brothers, Lyman, Gaylon, Ernest Jr, Lawrence, Harold, and Leroy; sisters, Anna Belle Grantham, Hilda Jolet, and Genevieve Pichoff. The family would like to give special thanks to Martha and Danny Prince for the special care that they gave to Mr. Prince. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
