Irene Champagne

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Irene Marie Champagne, 63, who passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue at 7:00 am until 11:30 am on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Kenneth A. Bienvenu will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Irene loved reading, playing games on the computer and playing Fantasy Football. She is survived by two brothers, Clarence (Mary D.) Champagne of New Iberia and Allen (Tottie) Champagne, Sr. of St. Martinville; three sisters, Lena Dore of St. Martinville, Aline (Roland) Louviere of Breaux Bridge, and Elaine Deville of Iota; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Anne Guidry Champagne; and her brother, Fred J. Champagne. Pallbearers will be Allen J. Champagne, Jr., Edward Dore, Chad Champagne, Blaine Champagne, Clarence Champagne, and C. J. Champagne, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Champagne, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
