Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, January 28, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Irene W. Guidry, 92, who passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday.
Rev. Stephen Pellessier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers and gift bearers will be Chasity Castille and Amber Thibodeaux.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Irene was an Avon Consultant for 32 years and a member of the Avon President's Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing Bingo. Irene will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Castille; grandchildren, Josh Guidry, Brian Castille, Kevin Castille and spouse Christy, Jason Castille and spouse Chasity; great grandchildren, Amber Thibodeaux and spouse Trey, Bailey Castille, Zach Castille, Mallery Castille, and Anna Castille; great-great grandchildren, Tucker, Alysa, and Adeline Thibodeaux; and her sisters, Lovell Benoit and Verlene Latiolais.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdie Joseph Guidry; son, Kenneth Buffy Guidry; and parents, Alexone and Therese Daigle Wiltz.
Pallbearers will be Josh Guidry, Brian Castille, Jason Castille, Trey Thibodeaux, and Lonny Kidder.
