New Iberia - Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Homes in New Iberia, for Irving Murphy Solar, 62, who passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Saturday. Masonic Lodge 430 of Bayou Chicot, LA will officiate at the Funeral Service. Mr. Solar was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Masonic Lodge 430. He enjoyed fishing, hunting,gardening, and he cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Judy Henry Solar of New Iberia, LA, daughter, Jocelyn Solar Delaune and husband William of Denham Springs; son, Murphy Adam Solar and wife Stephanie of Hammond; grandchildren, Garrett Lassitter of Denham Springs, William Delaune, Jr. of Denham Springs, LA, Monique Delaune of Denham Springs, LA, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Murphy Alfred Solar; sister, Shirley Solar Mathis, and brother-in-law, Mathew Mathis.
