Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 pm, on Friday, March 17, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, for Isaac Ike Joseph Stevens, 42, who passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 pm until time of service at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Donald Pelous will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The readings will be done by Bernard Dumond, his brother-in-law. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Isaac was born in Lafayette, LA to Robert, Sr. and Rachel Broussard Stevens. Ike was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a St. Bernard Alumni, a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High, and a dedicated employee at Kentwood.
Ike had a huge heart and was very devoted and faithful to his family and friends; with a personality and smile that could light up a room. Although he was the youngest of five children, Ike was always there for his brothers and sisters, lending a helping hand, laughter and advice when they needed him.
Ike was an independent Harley enthusiast, who loved working on his bike and riding on the open road (he loved his hog and his dog, Belle). He loved a good time and a good laugh with family and friends. Ike will be remembered for his kind nature and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ike is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Rachel Stevens, Sr.; his caring siblings, Robert Stevens, Jr., Millie Stevens Jarrell and husband Jody, Joleah Stevens Dumond and husband Bernard, and Ed Stevens and wife Cheri; two nieces, Maeve and Sarah Dumond; and one nephew, Joshua Stevens.
