Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Isabelle Thomas Jones, 86, who passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday.A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday.Rev. George Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Isabelle was a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for 48 years while serving as a Grand Lady for 13 years, and also served on the Evangeline Court #49 for many years. She was a keeper of the Lord's house, Lector, Commentator, and a Eucharistic Minister. Isabelle was employed at Carver High School as a Cafeteria Technician for 35 years. After retiring, she went to work at Farmers- Merchant Bank for 12 years. She enjoyed working and playing Bingo at the church hall, playing cards, sewing, and most of all, taking care of her great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a classy lady who never went anywhere without her makeup and hair all done. Isabelle will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Babineaux; grandson, Brandon Charles (Latosha); and three great grandchildren, Jaspen Charles, Kadence Charles, and Keegan Charles.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Bobby Irving Jones; parents, Joseph and Beulah Thomas; and her sister, Velma Thomas. Pallbearers will be Hilton John Zenon, Corey Potier, Marcus Francis, Miguel Babineaux, Joseph Babineaux and Howard Babineaux.
