Rynella - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella for Jack P. Broussard, 71, who died Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Lafayette . Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Rev. Eugene Tremie will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM atPellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM . Born on October 8, 1940 , Mr. Broussard is a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia . He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and is retired from the Iberia Parish Government. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, playing bingo, and going to the casino. Survivors include his sisters, Dorothy Landry of New Iberia, Linda Yoder of New Iberia, Emilda Kennedy and husband Edward of New Iberia; brothers, Joseph Broussard and wife Dorinda of New Iberia, Bill Broussard and wife Susan of New Iberia, Edmond Broussard and wife Margie of New Iberia; sisters-in-law, Olivia Broussard of New Iberia, Bobbie Broussard of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson and Olamp Romero Broussard; brothers, John S. Broussard, E.J. Broussard; brothers-in-law, Raymond Yoder, James Rudell Landry; and a nephew, Timothy James Broussard. Pallbearers will be Robert Landry, Ted Broussard, Johnny Broussard, Ricky Broussard, Thomas Yoder, and Ryan Theriot.
