Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Jacob P. Hardin, 62, who passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Acadia General Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until the time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday evening.
Rev. John Vining will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Jacob was a devout Christian and longtime member of Pecan Island Methodist Church, where he served as a Lay Leader for a period of time. He was an avid golf player and member of Bayou Bend Country Club. Jacob enjoyed reading Sci-Fi books, deer hunting, and playing board games. He also loved shooting guns, target practice, and would even reload his own bullets. Most of all, he cherished his time spent with his family. Jacob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Angelina Addison Hardin; son, Sam (Melissa) Hardin; grandchildren, Hannah Dumes and Emily Dumes; sisters, Dainty (Gordon) Bourque and Annie Hebert (George Parks); brothers, Earl (Florine) Hardin, Jr. and Colby (Karen) Hardin; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Hardin and Lillian Vincent Hardin; brothers, Gilman Hardin and David Hardin; and sister, Mildred Hardin.
Pallbearers will be Sam Hardin, Kasey Addison, Jeff Addison, Colby Hardin, David Hardin, and Daniel Hardin.
Honorary pallbearer will be his godchild, Kasey Justin Broussard.
