Jacqueline Halphen Case

Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm, on Monday, December 22, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Jacqueline Halphen Case, 79, who passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7 am until 1:45 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Erryca Robicheaux and Amy Earles. Gift bearers will be her daughters. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mrs. Case worked in Customer Relations for the U.S. Postal Service in the Acadiana area for 50 years. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious Crawfish Bisque and Pecan Cake. As a pastime she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, but the greatest joy in her life was caring for her great grandchildren, whom she adored. She is survived by three daughters, Michelle L. Case and longtime friend, Autumn Manning, of Cecilia, Angela Duhon and husband, Marcus, of Lafayette, and Gail Robicheaux and husband, Eric, of Maurice; seven sisters, Rita Shobe of Georgia, Theresa Leon of California, Gloria Shepherd and husband, Robert, of Louisiana, Goldie "Dinky" Gilson of California, Ramona Cole of Louisiana, Sandra Guillotte and husband, Wilton, of Louisiana, and Barbara Fuselier of California; four grandchildren, Ryan Duhon, Amy Earles and husband, Russell, Jeremy Jay Robicheaux and wife, Bethany, and Erryca Robicheaux; and four great grandchildren, Natalie Robicheaux, Haiden Duhon, Russ Earles, and EmmaKate Earles. She is preceded in death by her husband, James McClellan Case; her parents, Fabio Halphen, Sr. and Louise Christine Fuselier Halphen; her brothers, Fabio Halphen, Jr., Lawrence Halphen, Joseph Oscar Halphen, Alvin Halphen, Alfred Halphen, Leonard Halphen, Clarence Halphen, and Dalton Halphen; and her sisters, Oline Helmer, Louise Gentry, Mary Hollander, Lilly Greta White, and Marguerite Halphen. Pallbearers will be Scott Halphen, Phillip Cole, Glen Guillotte, Jay Robicheaux, Ryan Duhon, Russell Earles, Marcus Duhon, and Eric Robicheaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Mick Benham.
