New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Jacqueline 'Jackie' B. Richard, 81, who died Thursday, August 1, 2013, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:15 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Born on September 9, 1931, Mrs. Richard was the daughter of Devance and Edna Bulliard Bienvenu. She retired from New Iberia Senior High School, and enjoyed sending emails from her computer to everyone. Survivors include her children, Karen Richard of New Iberia, Charles 'Chuck' Richard and wife Janice of Youngsville, Karl Richard of New Iberia, Keith Richard and wife Marilyn of Gulfport, MS, Cherie Barrilleaux and husband Leslie of New Iberia, Barbara White and husband Dean of New Iberia; sister, Merrill Bulliard of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Natalie Barrilleaux, Cristy Lane, Sean Richard, Peyton White; and a great granddaughter, Rowan Grace Barrilleaux. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merkel C. Richard; an infant daughter, Edna Louise; and a grandson, Nicholas Barrilleaux. Pallbearers include Richard Carver, Sean Richard, Randy Larson, Aubrey Bergeron, Ronnie Triviz, Peyton White, Dean White, and Leslie Barrilleaux.
