Coteau Holmes - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, January 7, 2008, at Coteau Holmes Full Gospel Church in Coteau Holmes, for Jacqueline Darby Richard, 57, who passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at her residence in Henderson. Interment will follow at Coteau Holmes Full Gospel Church Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Pastor Mike Robicheaux will conduct the services. Mrs. Richard was a devoted Christian who loved to read God's word and she also loved to cook. Survivors include her husband, Joseph F. Richard, Jr. of Henderson, her daughters, Darlene R. Bergeron of Arnaudville, Janet R. Thornton and her husband, Kevin of Duson, and Tammy R. Robin and her husband, Derick of Arnaudville; her spiritual son, Jimmy Chavez of Coteau Holmes; her brother, Malcolm R. Darby and his wife, Klarisse of Lafayette; her sisters, Elizabeth A. Harper and her husband, Bill of LasVegas, NV and Vickie D. Soileau and her husband Francis of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Robbie, Brent, Amanda, Krislyn, Taylor, Edmond, Gage, Gabrielle, Haylee, Shelby and Gavin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Uray and Gussie Cormier Darby; her son-in-law, Robert J. Bergeron, and her brother, Danny Darby. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Coteau Holmes Full Gospel Church from 2:00 pm Sunday, January 6, 2008 until time of service Monday. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Chavez, Derick Robin, Johnathan Soileau, Brent Stelly, Robbie Stelly, Jr. and Jerry Richard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
