Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11 a .m. , on Saturday, August 20, 2011 , at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for James David Baltazar, Sr., 57, who passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Eustis , Florida . Father Keenan Brown will officiate at the funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Born in Glenmora , Louisiana on September 17, 1953 to the late Russell Baltazar and Grace Taylor James Baltazar, James joined the United States Air Force on February 5, 1973 . He worked in the Civil Engineering Department for 10 years and as an aircraft maintenance specialist for 10 years. James retired from the U.S.A.F. on February 28, 1993 . He also worked at the Orlando International Airport as a sky cap in Orlando , Florida for 5 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Dilcy Baltazar; two sons, Frederick D. Baltazar and James D. Baltazar, Jr.; one daughter, Cynthia L. Murphy and her husband, Nelson; six grandchildren; six brothers; and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Baltazar, Sr. and Grace Taylor Baltazar; and three brothers, Patrick, Rogers, and Brian Baltazar. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7 a .m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited on Friday evening. Pallbearers will be the United States Air Force Honor Guard, Keesler Air Force Base. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Baltazar, Jr., Gene Larry Baltazar, Ronny Ray Baltazar, Rocky Baltazar, Gus M. Baltazar, and Donald Ray Baltazar.
