James Ray (Jimbo) Franks

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge in Breaux Bridge, for James (Jimbo) Ray Franks, 52, who passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until 1:00 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Deacon Butch Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Jimbo enjoyed playing the guitar, writing music and poetry. His main passion was to make people smile and make them feel special. He cherished spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. Jimbo loved fast and classic cars. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse of 35 years, Anne Norman Franks; son, Brett James Franks and fiance Stacey Minard of Arkansas; daughter, Chantelle Franks Tucker and husband Robert of New Iberia; grandchildren, MaryAnne Louise Franks, Gage Michael Tucker, Gabrielle Michelle Franks, Keely Elizabeth Tucker, Bethany Joslyn Franks, and Karter James Tucker; father, George R. Franks, Jr.; mother, Mary Ann Granger-Franks; brothers, Terry Franks, Jerry Franks and wife Nnenna; sisters, Tonia Franks, Sonia Franks Faul and husband Dwight; godchild, Gavin Faul; 8 nieces and 12 nephews; and several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Junice and Eunice Granger; paternal grandparents, George R. Franks, Sr. and Francis Franks; cousins, Mark Granger and Lisa Maturin; and one paternal aunt and uncle.
