Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for James 'Jimmie' Roy Marks, 65, who died on Monday, September 6, 2010 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Deacon Marcel 'Butch' Hebert will conduct the funeral service. Readers will be Lindsay Marks and Sophie Breaux. Jimmie enjoyed training and shoeing horses; while in his spare time, he had an interest in refurbishing old furniture and shopping for antiques. He loved spending time with his family and friends and drinking coffee ;with Pop Mouton, Mrs. Elba, Aunt Evelyn and Lou. ; He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Flora B. Marks of Breaux Bridge; one son, Brandon Jude Marks and his wife, Lindsay, of Arnaudville; two daughters, Betina Marks Robin and her husband, Glynn, and Monique Marks, all of Breaux Bridge; five grandchildren, Ryan and Grant Robin, and Brody, Braydon, and Caitlyn Marks; his mother-in-law, Gladys Caillier Breaux of Breaux Bridge; godmother, Ruth Breaux of Youngsville; and one very special niece, Stephanie Granger and her husband, Alton, of Abbeville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolphe and Bertha Olivier Marks; a sister, Nora; niece, Stacy; aunt, Gabbie; and his father-in-law, Lawrence Breaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a .m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 8 a .m. until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Brandon Marks, Ryan Robin, Grant Robin, Glynn Robin, Brody Marks, and Robert Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Menard, Al Mistrot, and Braydon Marks. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
