St. Martinville - A Eulogy will be given at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Martinville for James Odeen Warf, 89, who passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday,
The Eulogy will be given by Reverend Luther Burney. Interment will follow at Warf Cemetery in Greensburg, Kentucky.
Mr. Warf enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially gardening, and was known to many to have that magical touch. He played the guitar and sang tenor with the Christian Heirs Quartet. He'll be remembered by his friends for sharing his knowledge of gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dora Maude Bryant Warf; son, James Noel Warf of St. Martinville; daughters, Wanda Elaine Landry and husband Gerald of Jeanerette, and Leonia Dorene Hunt and husband Delbert of New Iberia; sister, Esther Francis Wiley of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren; William Bradford Warf and wife Laurie, Amanda D. Harden, and Martina Carol Martin and husband Brady; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Caffery Warf and Nellie Rene Warf; brothers, Thurman Clayton Warf, William Elmo Warf, and Edward Howard Warf; and his daughter-in-law, Dinah Kaye Warf.
