Jane Alice Tauzin Stelly

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Jane Alice Tauzin Stelly, 85, who passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Jane enjoyed reading, shopping, going to the casino, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family. Being a military wife, she experienced the love of travel. She is survived by her son, Alan B. Stelly and wife Jackie of Lafayette; daughters, Tonya Mallet and husband Robert (Timmy) Mallet, Jr. of Arnaudville, Angela Meche of Carencro and companion, Stan Dutile of Broussard; her grandchildren, Jerrod (J.W.) Meche and spouse Amber, Brent Meche, Dustin Meche and companion, Rachael, Tyler Mallet and spouse Paul, Toni Breaux and spouse Reggie, Trina Colpaart and spouse Ryan; great grandchildren, Raegan Breaux, Alex Breaux, Jett Meche and Chloe Colpaart; step grandchildren, Seth Fontenot and Cody Fontenot; step great grandchildren, Ethan Theriot, Olivia Dean, and Marceline Fontenot; and her sisters, Stella Schexnayder and husband Eddie, and Ethel Taylor of Covington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Anthony Stelly; son-in-law, Duane Meche; parents, Sanders and Felicie Hebert Tauzin; a baby brother, Rodgers Tauzin; and her sister, Clara Dell Theriot. Pallbearers will be Alan B. Stelly, Jerrod (J.W.) Meche, Brent Meche, Dustin Meche, Tyler Mallet, and Reggie Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Mallet and Eddie Schexnayder. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home and Dr. Gus Ingraldi for their excellent care they gave to our mother.
