VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Janet "Jean" Allemand Guidry, 73, who passed away on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Rev. Michael L. Delcambre, Paster of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Janell Guidry and Staci Dauphine. Her grandchildren will serve as gift bearers. Jean was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and served as a St. Martin Parish Voting Commissioner. Jean had such joy for life and in that joy, came three angels, Lillie, Preston and Presley. Her hobbies were watching Tiger Woods, cooking, playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and spending time with family and friends especially her husband of 56 years, A.J. Survivors include her husband, A.J. Guidry of Nina; her sons, Royce J. Guidry and his companion, Sherry of Carencro and Randall Lee Guidry and his wife, Janell of Lafayette; her daughter, Rene'e T. Dauphine and her husband, Tommy of Nina; her sisters, Betty Hernandez and her husband, Douglas of Marrero, La., Loretta Orgeron of Bay St. Louis, Mo and Iris Garrett and her husband, Billy Paul of Batesburg, SC; her grandchildren, Aaron Dauphine, Allison Dauphine, Andy Dauphine, Annette Dugas, Crystal Prejean, Morganne Guidry and Grant Guidry; her great grandchildren, Ashley Schoen, Harley Courville, Devin Prejean, Presley Dauphine, Preston Dauphine and Lillian Dauphine. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Ivy Louis and Vernice Orgeron Allemand. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday by Helen Rabeaux. Pallbearers will be Royce Guidry, Randall Guidry, Aaron Dauphine, Andy Dauphine, Louis Garrett and Douglas Hernandez, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Dauphine. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
